A few days ago this was the aspect of a new lady.  Until I introduce her to you properly, we can call her «I».
«I» has become a warrior; when I started working on her I wanted to make a lady covered in golden sequins and at first I thought it was going to be similar to «Black jewel» (which you haven`t meet yet) or «Dancing with myself».

But as long as I was working I realised that she needed to become a diferent kind of girl.
Firstly these golden sequins were in a trim, so I had rows altogether and it forced me to go for another type of shaping around her. And more importantly it was not working well to cover the face with them like in the the other Ladies I mentioned.

So I changed completely the idea and went for the romantic but tough lady in which she has become, I`m so happy with the powerful «I»
I can`t wait to make the photo sesion to show her to you!
One of the clue elements that gave me the idea and character is the tiny ornament that you can see next to her on the table.

I found it at the flea market of Prague in the visit I made with Amadea. As many of you will know I am an ultra-fan of flea markets and second hand stuff, sadly in my town there`s no much of it and it`s hard to find treasures.
I must confess that I thought I was going to end my visit to Bleší Trhy barehanded, but in the last minute I found a basket full of ornaments and small parts of antique wooden boxes. I believe that made of copper though I`m not sure about it, the seller and myself got a hard but kind time trying to understand each other XD
So this little winged object (and another 6-7 more pieces) came with me to Pamplona with the intention to become a hairdress for a Lady.
So very soon you will know what else is behind it!

*Note: I have just remembered that a while ago I used another of these czech ornaments to disguise Belle, hahaha!

Amadea on the road

I made it! Amadea is right now on her way to Prague! Yeah!

As I told you in my last post, she is going to take part in the contest the Doll Prague Exhibition has organized. I believe she is quite nervous because she knows that she will be a «rara avis» among all those dolls with beautiful faces, but she is also excited to represent her species and meet mates!

Me myself will also fly to Praga, it`s the first time I visit a Doll Fair. I can`t wait to see what`s going on in this field, I am going to enjoy so much all the different expresions, the craftmanship (and craftwomanship!). I`m also very curious about what the opinion of the dollmaker collegues about Amadea, and in extension of The Ladies.

Of course I`m willing to share points of view, to hear about their paths, their way of working etc… It`s going to be a great experience!
And Praga is beautiful, isn`t it!? :)))))

Yujuuu!

Guztia prest! Bagoaz Pragara tralara tralara!

Eta ikus dezazuen pilak jartzen ditudala eta esandakoa betetzen dudala, hementxe mahai gainean dudan lady bat: Amadea.

Pragan ospatzen den arte-panpinen lehiaketa batean parte hartzeko prestatzen ari naiz. Gaia Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart da, eta Amadea bat aurkeztea erabaki dut, generoarengatik galdu ditugun emakumezko «Mozart» guztien omenez.
Baina Amadeak gauzak zail xamar jartzen ari dizkit eta uste nuena baino denbora gehiago kostatzen ari zait, ez dakit epean bukatuko dudan… larri nabil!

I know that I have said this more than once, but I love the ladies when they are halfway!
This is Amadea, she has had a completely diferent hair, but I think that this is the feeling I want in her. We`ll see… XD

I am making it for this year`s contest of The Doll Prague exhibition. The theme is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and I`ve decided to make this lady, Amadea, to honour all the female composers and musicians that could not make their way because a lady was not suposed to play the violin or perfom in public once she reached a marriageable age.

But she`s being quite rebel and it`s taking me more time than I thought to make her…
I was late to get a stand as a exhibitor, I hope I can finish her on time to submit her to the competition!
